The permanent code is a unique identifying code assigned by the Ministère de l’Éducation to all students who attend an educational institution in Québec. It is an alphanumeric code composed of four letters and eight numbers.

If you have attended an educational establishment in Québec, you have a permanent code.

diplômes émis par le ministère de l'Éducation
autres documents émis par le ministère de l'Éducation
divers documents émis par des institutions scolaires (le code doit être clairement identifié comme étant le code du ministère de l'Éducation sinon, il pourrait s’agir du code permanent de l’institution et non de celui du ministère de l'Éducation)

You must have an permanent code to make an application online. If you have attended an educational establishment in Québec, you have a permanent code. Generally, it can be found on any transcripts or diplomas issued by an educational establishment in Québec. Your previous educational institution can also provide it.
